HBOT and ICE Health Systems strive to bring better healthcare to Canadians

Calgary (Alberta), AUGUST XX, 2010 – HBOT Clinics Inc. and ICE Health Systems are partnering to bring the ICE Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to Canada. HBOT Clinics will be the first health care provider in Canada to base its clinical record keeping and patient management on the ICE software platform. Unlike the current availability of EMR systems in Canada, the ICE platform allows for great collaboration between both physicians and patients. “The ICE software’s ability to grant consulting physicians, and the patients themselves, secure access to specific parts of the patient’s record fit well with the patient-centred, collaborative care we provide at HBOT” says Robert Crump, General Manager of HBOT Clinics.

The ICE platform also offers several other features not currently provided by other Canadian EMR companies. As an example, HBOT Clinics offers a patient education module on its website to help inform patients about their treatment; information generated from this module is then uploaded to the patient’s record. “ICE Dental Systems provides health professionals with a new generation of practice management system and enhancing efficiency, integrating their office and managing liability” said company CEO and President, Dr. Mark Genuis. HBOT Clinics also has the ICE software tracking several of its patient outcomes and satisfaction surveys, another advantage over the other EMR platforms.
